Responsibilities

This role requires attention to detail, and a balance of creativity and strategy to deliver seamless, user-centric designs.

The Web designer’s job duties include, but aren’t limited to, the following:

• Design websites that are sophisticated, aesthetically appealing while remaining functional
• Develop and maintain style guides to ensure consistent branding and cohesive design elements across projects
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and site maps to optimize user experience and conversion rates.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG) to create inclusive digital experiences.
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to align design solutions with business and technical goals.
• Present design concepts, gather feedback, and iterate on designs based on input from clients and team members.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a library of reusable design assets and components.
• Troubleshoot design and layout issues on live websites, including minor updates to content or layout.
• Perform competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Propose innovative solutions to improve usability, aesthetics, and client satisfaction.
• Create and refine user flows, content hierarchies, and structural elements to enhance navigation and engagement.
• Design micro-interactions and animations to enhance user experience.
• Design responsive interfaces optimized for desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
• Own the design process from concept to implementation
• Provide minor client engagement, such as gathering feedback or presenting design concepts.
• Experiment with innovative solutions to improve product usability and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with cross functional team members
• Support team members with occasional research or administrative tasks when needed.
• Actively participate in team discussions, projects, and initiatives to improve communication and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience focused on web and mobile
• Excellent design and storytelling skill set
• Mastery of Figma
• Proven experience in web design, with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive designs and user-focused solutions.
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with drag-and-drop builders (e.g., Elementor, Webflow).
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) WordPress, Webflow or Shopify.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to iterate designs based on feedback.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to effectively interpret and implement on client, team and user feedback and translate into sophisticated design
• Familiarity with testing tools such as UserTesting, Hotjar, Maze
• Expertise in designing at low, mid, and high-fidelity levels
• Proven ability to gather and interpret requirements from stakeholders
• Effective communication skills for presenting design ideas, timelines, and deliverables to clients and team members.
• Ability to contribute to proposals by defining design deliverables tailored to client needs and project goals.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs, and business priorities
• Be open to receiving and giving objective criticism

Bonus Points:

• Experience working in an Agile design/development environment
• Experience creating illustrations, videos, and other design elements
• Experience with conducting user research through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to understand user needs and behaviors.
• Experience creating user personas and journey maps that represent target audiences.
• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for inclusive design.
