As the Product & Merchandising Manager, you must be an expert on the company’s products and features and properly market and merchandise them to inform customers of their value and benefits. You will help define go-to-market strategies for key customer segments and products, position our solutions to create differentiation, and help execute campaigns that drive growth. This individual will be responsible for developing the marketing and merchandising strategy around Parkhurst’s product lines, including but not limited to meal plans, ParkPay gift cards, catering initiatives, Retail/Virtual Brands, online ordering, e-commerce platforms, and convenience store items.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops product pricing strategies and structures and measures success using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers.
Communicates the vision and value of new and current products to field operations teams and develops sales and merchandising tools to support the facilitation of the site level selling process.
Develops and implements promotional and merchandising strategies that stimulate product movement and drives incremental growth.
Collaborates with Brand Marketing and Channel Management pillars within the Parkhurst Marketing Department to effectively promote and merchandise products and drive incremental sales.
Is the authority on the consumer and is responsible for conducting thorough competitive research and market research on all product lines to gain consumer insights, untapped opportunities and developing user/consumer buyer personas to drive strategy.
Collects and leverages sales data and insights to guide and inform product decisions.
Monitors customer satisfaction through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data and integrates learnings in product updates and innovation.
Creates marketing materials and merchandising layouts that effectively position products, communicate product features, and develops promotional campaigns that attract new prospects and customers.
Manages the marketing roadmaps to track overarching marketing goals, strategies, and initiatives.
Assists Partnership Development pillar and Business Development team when needed to provide deeper dives into product offerings.
Provides guidance throughout the lifecycle of the product, ranging from minimum viable products to fully mature products.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in constructing marketing plans encompassing strategy, customer research, competitive analysis, product requirements, merchandising, messaging, and pricing strategies.
Advanced knowledge of consumer behaviors and marketing strategies.
Demonstrated experience in product marketing, merchandising and innovation.
Ability to increase competitiveness and market share.
Ability to develop strong consumer relations and feedback channels.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, internal and external.
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally for integrated marketing projects.

Approximately 25% travel required.
