The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating and maintaining direct distribution relationships across all divisions. They are accountable for delivering efficient and reliable supply chain operations. They will participate in the design, implementation, and program management of a streamlined supply chain network. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills, has an entrepreneurial mindset, exhibits flexibility, and is able to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage distribution vendors, analyze vendor KPI’s on backorders, delivery time, quality, fill rates, etc.; conduct root cause analysis with vendors to improve vendor performance and further achieve on-time deliveries.
· Negotiate, manage, maintain, and implement contracts for assigned distributor categories.
Administers and tracks the quality of a vendor issue-tracking system that enables a data-driven problem-solving focus.
Partners with Procurement and Operations on escalated vendor performance issues to identify root causes and design/execute resolutions.
In alignment with the leadership of new account or site openings, coordinates acquisition and installation of vendor-owned equipment (dairy, soda, coffee, juice, coolers, freezers, display ware, processing equipment, etc.) based on the approved vendor list.
In coordination with Risk Management, lead the supplier risk management function implementing metrics to identify suppliers who may present operational or strategic issues to the company such as adverse price movement, business risk, and product or geography elimination.
Develop and maintain solutions for vendor onboarding, operational requests for assistance, and product implementation.
Act as an escalation point for the Supply Chain team to review and ensure the timely remediation of Field Support incidents for closure.
Directly lead the operations support team in the completion of their daily and rhythmic tasks; assist in setting annual individual goals for the team; motivate and inspire the team to achieve high work output.
Serves as the crisis team lead for the supply chain. Work directly with Food Safety and Rick Management to execute the Product Recall process for all brands as directed by the Director, of Food Safety and QA. Monitor appropriate resources to track incidents of product recalls.
Works with Procurement and Distributors on managing contracted item stocking and opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or associate degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
5+ years of work experience in food service distribution, multi-unit food service operations, supply chain, or related fields.
Knowledge of supply and demand systems and the impact on supply to business operations is needed.
Experience in managing vendors and/or warehouses.
Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking, and presentation skills are required.
Experience in leading direct reports to develop, execute, and complete projects.
Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong computer and software skills with the ability to learn new systems and programs.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex and ambiguous business problems.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where there can be degrees of ambiguity.
Ability to identify and succinctly summarize roadblocks and constraints, propose potential solutions, and drive toward resolution.
Ability to always handle and protect confidential information.
